After taking you to the shore, our journey begins as we sail onto the tranquil waters of Issyk Kul. From May to September, you'll have the opportunity to indulge in a refreshing swim, immersing yourself in the crystal-clear lake. Feel the serenity of the surroundings and soak up the natural splendour that surrounds you. Our exploration continues as we visit the remarkable open-air museum and spiritual centre of Rukh Ordo. Immerse yourself in the cultural and spiritual heritage of the region, discovering the fascinating stories and traditions that have shaped Kyrgyzstan.

Lunch and Burana Tower
A highlight of the day is a delightful traditional Kyrgyz lunch, where you'll savour the flavours of authentic cuisine, experiencing the rich culinary traditions of the country. Our final stop takes us to the historic Burana Tower, a testament to the region's rich history and architectural grandeur. Marvel at the ancient ruins and delve into the tales that echo through its centuries-old walls. Go for an exploration in the archaeology museum, and observe ancient depictions on the balbals (stone markers).

The Pearl of Kyrgyzstan
Issyk-Kul Lake is a remarkable natural wonder located in Eastern Kyrgyzstan. With its stunning beauty, rich biodiversity, and fascinating history, it has become a popular destination for tourists from all around the world.
Geographically, Issyk-Kul Lake is situated in the Northern Tian Shan Mountains at an elevation of 1,607 meters. It stretches 182 km in length and up to 60 km in width, making it the second-largest alpine lake in the world after Lake Titicaca in South America. The lake's depth reaches 668 meters. This makes it the seventh-deepest lake globally. Despite its high elevation and harsh winters, the lake rarely freezes due to its salinity. Its salt content is approximately 0.6% (seawater has a typical salt content of 3.5%).

Accommodation during the tour will vary between guesthouses, yurt camps, and tents. The detailed description for each day will specify the type of accommodation. If you prefer, you can bring your own tents and sleeping bags, but we are also able to provide them for you. We can also provide inflatable mats for an extra price. Please let us know in advance if you have any special accommodation needs.
Water?
While trekking, the importance of water cannot be overstated. We provide boiled water or tea/coffee during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but please note that the availability of boiled water is limited and may not be sufficient for refilling your bottles for the next day. Fortunately, we’ll find running streams in the mountains. They have a low risk of carrying pathogens and contain fewer particulate materials compared to stagnant water. Natural springs are the best option for refilling water as they act as natural filters. Locals and tourists drink water directly from the source without issues, but if you are uncertain, bring water purification tablets from your home country as they have limited availability in Kyrgyzstan.
